flashback - year 2011

The year 2011 is gone ; but the impacts of some of the events of 2011 is not gone yet ; they are very far-reaching and affecting the lives of millions of people of the world .

January 2011 -
Tunisia's president Zine El Aibedine Ben Ali flees the country after controlling the power for 23 years .

February -
Hosni Mubarak was forced to surrender the power  by  a mass  movement ; more than 800 people were killed ,  Mubarak has been ruling Egypt for almost 30 years .
Christchruch , Newzealand has been devastated  by a severe earthquake of 6.3 magnitude .
Uprising began in Lybia to oust Gaddafi to end his 42- year rule .

March -
A severe earthquake and tsunami has devastated north-eastern part of Japan , which claimed more than 20 thousand lives .

May -
